I spent yesterday evening photographing Sue-Ellen and Max’s engagement photo session at the Old Port. And yes we did pass through the Occupy Montreal encampment by the Montreal World Trade Center, I felt that we simply had to. Here are some of my favorite shots from this sexy photo session:

Elaine & Charles E-Session

I spent the afternoon with Elaine and Charles at the Old Port photographing them as they interacted with one another during their engagement session. Now Elaine is no ordinary person at all. She is in fact a 2010 wheelchair basketball world championship bronze medal holder. She even won a gold metal in the 2010 BT Paralympics World Cup in Manchester, UK. She enjoys scuba diving and has even gone to the peek of Kala Patter at the mouth of Mt. Everest. Frankly I was a little intimidated when I found out about her accomplishments, but her bubbly personality and joy for life puts everyone around her at ease.

Stephanie and Olivier E-Session

Here are some of the photos we captured on this beautiful summer day with this stunning young couple. Stephanie and Olivier are not really a couple, but they are actors/models we hired where Beautifoto photographers shoot it out in order to sharpen their skills and try out new ideas and fresh new poses.

Stephanie will be playing the main character in an upcoming block buster film titled “Dreamoon” which being filmed here in Montreal. Good luck Stephanie and thank you both for playing along with us this afternoon.

Vaishali and David E-Session

This photo session is what I like to call a local destination session. Local, because it is here in Montreal where I am located. Destination, well, it’s because the couple are not from here. They are from the USA and they came down here as part of a trip they were on while on their honey moon. Being the romantic guy that David is, he planned this session as a surprise to his new bride. It was also sort of a blind date for me too since we had only communicated through e-mails up to this point.

In my opinion, David and Vaishali have this great chemistry between them, both spiritually and more importantly for the photos, physically. It was a real joy for me to photograph them no matter where and how, they were up to the challenge. So after scaling a few posts and climbing some stairs and lurking in some dark alleys we ended up with yet another successful photo shoot . Here are some of those beautiful images:

Engagement Session: Jennifer and Han

When we met with Jennifer we were flattered to the point of blushing to find out how much she was in love with our photography. And now after having shot her engagement session we are confident that she will be blown away with the results.

For their engagement session we took Jennifer and Han to this really nice location in the South Shore of Montreal, scouted out by Jerry who will be their official wedding photographer later on this year. Jen and Han are some of the cutest couples we shot to date and we would like to thank them for being so patient with us and for lasting through the shoot in spite of the relatively cold conditions. Here are some of the shots we took at this rather sexy engagement photo session:

Engagement Session: Michelle and Charlie

Michelle found me through Google while she was living in New York city and when she moved to Montreal and we finally met, she was eager to have me as her wedding photographer.

I’ll be honest to share that Michelle and Charlie are my favorite sort of clients. They love my work and they are as easy going as it gets. It was truly a joy to work with them.

We shot this lovely couple’s engagement session at Montreal’s Old Port which was the location of their choice, and something tells me they are going to love their photos. Here’s a sample of those shots:

Maxime from the Old Port Ghost Walk tour happened to pass by while we were shooting and I just couldn’t help but ask him to take part.

Engagement Session: Connie and Michel

“Here’s something we don’t do very often. This e-session was shot at the Windsor Hotel, one of the most prestigious locations you can shoot at in Montreal. Normally we try to shoot engagement sessions outdoors, like at the Old Port or by the Saint Laurence river, but a very cold month of May and the fact that Ms. Nancy Ngwan, director of sales at the Windsor agreed to give us access to shoot at the this Victorian, French Renaissance style venue we simply couldn’t miss out on this opportunity. Connie and Michel were the lucky couple who had scheduled their pre-wedding photo session during the same time when we had access to this beautiful location. Here are some of the photos Jerry and I took of this graceful couple in a setting fit for a princess and her fairy tale prince.”

E-Session: Magalie and Vincent

Wedding season has just started with a bang, and what a great start it was! We just completed our first engagement session of the year with our lovely couple, Magalie and Vincent.

It was a very interesting story as to how she even found us… Magalie saw a photo we took on her friend’s facebook page and she fell in love with our style enough to want to hire us as her wedding photographers right then and there. The funny part of the story is that we weren’t even her friend’s wedding photographers, I just happened to be standing in front of the hotel where her friend was exiting right after her wedding party had ended. It was sheer luck that I was at the Old Port on that evening doing one of my impromptu outings and just playing and taking pictures of Montreal’s sights and people when I saw the couple come out of their taxi, complete with wedding attire. I couldn’t resist asking to take a photograph of them. They permitted me to take the photo and in gratitude, I sent a copy of it to them. She liked it so much that she placed the photo we took on her facebook page and the rest is history.

Initially, we planned on taking the couple to an alluring wooded area near-by, but when Jerry and I went on our scouting mission to check things out earlier that afternoon, we passed by the local fire-station and decided this would be a great starting location. After quickly stopping in and asking, we received permission and were given pretty much free reign to shoot anywhere at their station. Our special thanks to the gentlemen at this fire-station, as they were more than happy to open their doors to us and our couple, and we really appreciated it.

Ironically, we later found out that Vincent loved this location, because earlier in his life he worked as a fire fighter back when he still lived in Paris, France.

A very fun session with a fantastic and brave couple who took on the very chilly evening in light clothing and handled it like troopers. Thank-you so much, Magalie and Vincent, you guys were awesome!!

Engagement Session: Christine and Faustin

Being new to the blog world, I find myself struggling to write something about what I do. I find it much easier to let the photos speak for themselves.

On a nice summer day last year I got together with Christine and Faustin to shoot their engagement session. It was one of those Montreal summer days where the weather was perfect and the air loaded with mosquitoes which we found out as soon as the sun started to set. We quickly ran out of the heart of this tiny forest in Ville Saint Laurent, where most of the bugs liked to hang out. Somehow, I still managed to snap a few gorgeous shots of this dynamic couple even though we were all doing what we now refer to as the mosquito dance in between shots. Let’s just say it was a great bonding experience.

After living in Vegas 8 years ago I got used to the almost daily stunning sunset “shows”. The skies in Vegas would literally catch on fire with views that easily took my breath away. It is not common here in MOntreal to have beautiful sunsets but on this particular day the sky was exploding with colors. The session which normally takes 2 hours tops lasted for almost 3 hours becasue the sky kept getting more and more beautiful until dark.
