Awet and Wondi

Edit: So I found this review left by Awet (the bride) on Weddingwire.com which totally made my day! She gave me 5 stars out of 5  and she says:

“My god, what a great photographer!!!! The minute you meet this guy, you know he loves his work so much. He takes every shot with such passion, he makes you feel beautiful in a second. He is so easy to work with. We were nervous we didnt do our e-session and thought it might take some time getting used to posing but he makes it a piece of cake. I dont have the heart to give Ned a four star anywhere but he cost both our arms, our legs and our first born! Though this was the most expensive GREAT GREAT service we got ourselves for this wedding, i do not regret that at all because not only did I enjoy working with Ned, my guests kept praising his work every time they call to say how great a time they had at our wedding!! go conquer the world Ned!!!!! Hurry up with my pictures too!”

This last weekend was a very busy one for me. In 3 days I pretty much shot what amounts to 3 weddings and a total of 37.5 hours not to mention 5 more hours on driving alone.

The fact is I shot two weddings only, one of the two was over a period of two days and it was my first Ethiopian-Eritrean wedding ever! Now that I’ve survived (barely) to tell all about it, I can tell you one thing; these guys know how to party. The music is something else like I’ve never heard before, but by the second day, I was almost singing along to some of the them. The food too was incredible! Oh and did I mention it was held at Le Windsor, only one of Montreal most prestigious venues!

Here are some of the shots from this special wedding:

All the women from both families in Ethiopian traditional wear.

I was still working on my settings to capture this shot and I am glad I caught it since the skateboard broke right as he landed. I felt very guilty about that but was happy I got the shot. 🙂

Not everyone was able to keep going all night long…
